TheVetJobs operates a job board for veterinary professionals and employers in the United States. The service supports veterinarians, credentialed veterinary technicians, practice leadership, and other veterinary roles.

The service is intended for people aged 16 or older and for veterinary roles located in the United States.

Information we collect

What we hold depends on whether you browse, apply for roles, subscribe to alerts, or hire through the platform.

  • Account information: name, email address, hashed password, and account role.
  • Candidate information: resumes, application answers, licensed states, preferences, Agent settings, and application history.
  • Employer information: company details, clients, jobs, application forms, and stored attachments.
  • Job Alert information: email address, Area of Practice, Position, and state preferences.
  • Technical information: IP address, approximate location, device information, and pages viewed.

How we use your information

We use information to operate the veterinary job board and its related services.

  • Show relevant roles and maintain accurate dashboards.
  • Deliver applications to the employer responsible for the job.
  • Send confirmed Job Alerts matching saved criteria.
  • Run enabled Agents using the resume, states, and answers selected by the candidate.
  • Manage subscriptions through our payment provider.
  • Protect the service, prevent fraud, and meet legal requirements.

When you apply for a role

Submitting an application shares your selected resume and application answers with the employer responsible for the job and, where applicable, the parent organization responsible for that practice location.

For some listings managed by TheVetJobs, application information may also be delivered to the recruiting service used by the organization that owns the listing.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only where needed to provide or protect the service.

  • Employers: for the job application you submit.
  • Stripe: for checkout, subscriptions, and payment processing. We do not store card numbers.
  • Email delivery providers: for verification, alerts, confirmations, and notifications.
  • Recruiting service providers: only when needed to deliver an application for a specific listing.
  • Legal and safety recipients: where required by law or necessary to protect users and the platform.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies necessary for authentication, session continuity, form security, and essential platform operation. Limited analytics may be used to understand page and search usage. TheVetJobs does not use third-party advertising trackers.

How long we keep information

Account, resume, and application records are kept while an account is active and for any additional period required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Job Alert subscriptions remain active until unsubscribed. Contact submissions are retained while the enquiry is handled and for a reasonable period afterward.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information.

  • Update profile information from the relevant dashboard.
  • Unsubscribe from Job Alerts using the dashboard or email link.
  • Suspend or delete Agents from the candidate dashboard.
  • Request access or deletion through the Contact page.
  • Exercise these rights without discriminatory treatment.

How we protect your information

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and sensitive configuration values are protected. Access to production information is limited to people who need it to operate the service.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Where required, affected users and authorities will be notified of qualifying incidents.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the platform changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and material updates may also be communicated through email or an in-product notice.
